Dental Appointment Aftercare

Get a good night’s rest before your appointment.

Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine for at least three hours prior to your visit.

Take all prescribed medications as directed.

Have a light meal before your appointment—do not arrive on an empty stomach.

Take one of the following at least one hour before your appointment: Aleve, Extra-Strength Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Advil, or Nuprin (do not take on an empty stomach).

Maintain good oral hygiene by thoroughly brushing your teeth before your appointment.
