Implant Aftercare

Clean your denture thoroughly every day using a soft brush and liquid hand soap.

If recommended, use a denture soak daily, followed by brushing.

Brush implants and bar with a Sonicare toothbrush for four minutes, twice daily.

Use a proxabrush under the bar and around each implant twice daily, applying at least 10 strokes from each side.

Avoid clenching, grinding, or resting your teeth together—maintain a “lips together, teeth apart” position at all times.

Remove both upper and lower dentures at night to allow tissues to rest.

Clean supporting tissues with a soft brush and massage with a wet cloth twice daily.

Use special floss to clean under the bar and around implants twice daily.

Apply Peridex prescription mouthrinse using your Sonicare, proxabrush, and on tissues twice daily (do not use it while wearing dentures).

Rinse twice daily with mouthrinse and use a tongue scraper daily.

Maintain regular preventive care visits and professional cleanings every three months.
